Synopsis
In 19th-century Paris, La Salpêtrière hospital became the center of research on hysteria, where thousands of women were treated as subjects in the search for a cure. As scientific ambition overtook care, observation turned into invention. "Women of Abnormal Constitution" explores who these women might have been within a system more concerned with control than survival.
